In honor of Women's History Month Capt. Nikki Slaughter-Smith, 328th Combat and Operational Stress Control, Army Reserve, was recognized along with several other prominent women during a special ceremony at the Buffalo N.Y. Veterans Court March 28, 2017.  She was recognized for her outstanding leadership and dedicated service to our country and our courts as a part-time Soldier, full-time Citizen Airman social worker with the 914th Airlift Wing, Air Force Reserve, and volunteer Veterans Court Mentor. Members of the 107th Attack Wing along with invited guests and local media outlets gather for the official ceremony announcing the redesignation of the 107th from an airlift wing to an attack wing, March 21, 2017 at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station N.Y. Nearly 6,000 lbs. of donated softball equipment and school supplies from schools and businesses around Western New York is loaded onto a 914th Airlift Wing C-130 aircraft, February 17, 2017, at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, N.Y. The equipment and supplies are bound for the Dominican Republic, where they will be distributed to schools in need. The Air Force is able to transfer the donations through a program called Denton Cargo, which enables humanitarian supplies to be transferred on military aircraft if space available.
