914th Airlift Wing Commander, Col. Brian S. Sunday, September 11, 2016 marked the 15 year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the world Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington, DC. Members of the 914th commemorated the event with a ceremony which included the folding of the flag to honor the victims and all those affected by the tragic events of that day in 2001.

During a visit to the base earlier this year, Lt. Gen. The Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016 for the new flight simulator building. This event was attended by several local elected officials and civic leaders.
