Lt. Chris Baer, Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station Fire Department, driver operator performs flow testing on a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) pack using the Posi-Track Three tester at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station on January 29, 2015. The SCBA is used by firefighters to help protect them from all inhalation hazards, i.e. smoke, hazmat, asbestos. The testing unit senses everything that is mechanical, electrical and electronic with the pack ensuring that everything is up to Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) standards including the correct amount of air pressure, the correct decibel that the alarm on the pack gives out. The Friends of Family Support Association here at the base received a very generous donation from Great Lakes Real Estate of over $600 in grocery assistance cards and several gifts for children of service members.Pat Dettinger, Great Lakes Real Estate agent challenged other agents to provide gifts suitable for teenage children of service members.

Members at Niagara will soon enjoy their favorite movie with some delicious gourmet popcorn thanks to the Boy Scouts. A movie and a loved one or friend is optional.The Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Scouting supporters of the Greater Niagara Frontier Council in Western New York donated over 1,000 packages of gourmet popcorn to local military families.
