NIAGARA FALLS AIR RESERVE STATION, N.Y. --

The American Legion National Commander, Charles E. Schmidt, met with personnel of the 914th Airlift Wing and 107th Attack Wing on October 14, 2016 as he toured NFARS during a scheduled stop while on an official visit to the eight Western New York counties and a portion of Canada.

Accompanying the national commander on his tour of the air base were over a dozen other distinguished visitors from the American Legion, Legion Auxiliary, and Sons of the Legion.

Schmidt is a U.S. Air Force veteran having served on active duty from 1965 to his retirement in 1993.
