Niagara grants WWII vet his senior wish
Air Force Lt. Col. (Ret.) Robert Rohde, is granted his wish to once again sit in the pilot's seat of a USAF aircraft Nov. 15, 2019 at Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, N.Y. During WWII Lt. Col Rohde flew the C-47 in the China - India - Burma theater of operations. After active service he joined and retired from the NY Air National Guard. The Senior Wishes Program of the United Church Home Society worked with the 914th Air Refueling Wing to provide Lt. Col. Rohde a base tour which included a stop inside a KC-135R Stratotanker.
