Nearly 6,000 lbs. of donated softball equipment and school supplies from schools and businesses around Western New York is loaded onto a 914th Airlift Wing C-130 aircraft, February 17, 2017, at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, N.Y. The equipment and supplies are bound for the Dominican Republic, where they will be distributed to schools in need. The Air Force is able to transfer the donations through a program called Denton Cargo, which enables humanitarian supplies to be transferred on military aircraft if space available. Girls from the Akron Varsity and Amherst Lightning softball teams pose Feb. 4, 2017 in front of a Perry's truck at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, N.Y.  The truck was used to transfer nearly 6,000 lbs of donated softball equipment destined for the Dominican Republic.
