Colonel Lara B. Morrison

Col. Lara B. Morrison is the Commander, 914th Air Refueling Wing, Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, New York. The Wing is unit-equipped with eight KC-135R Stratotanker aircraft and home to three groups, twelve squadrons and hosts approximately 3,000 assigned military, civil service and contract personnel. Prior to her current position, she was the Operations Group Commander, March Air Reserve Base, California.

Colonel Morrison enlisted in the Air National Guard in 1989 and was commissioned in 1996. She completed undergraduate pilot training in 1997 and joined the Air Force Reserve in 2001. Colonel Morrison has held multiple jobs in 18th Air Force and Air Mobility Command as an Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA) and commanded the 315th Operations Support Squadron in the 315th Air Wing at Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina. Prior to her work as a civilian and IMA in AMC and 18th Air Force, she was stationed at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina as an instructor in the KC-135R. She is also a graduated Secretary of Defense Fellow.

Colonel Morrison graduated from Washington State University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and earned a Master of Arts in technical communication from Boise State University graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2001.
