Dear 914th Family,

It is with a heavy heart that I write to inform you that Technical Sergeant Nicholas A. Vogler, one of our Airmen assigned to the 914th Security Forces Squadron passed away while on temporary duty at Joint Base San Antonio early Sunday morning March 29, 2020.  The 914 ARW has withheld public release of his death until today pending the notification of Tech. Sgt. Vogler’s family. The cause of death is still under investigation however, Tech. Sgt. Vogler did not present with any COVID-19 symptoms and therefore COVID-19 is not thought to be a factor in his death.

Please keep his family and the members of our Security Forces Squadron in your thoughts and prayers. Use discretion and be respectful of your fallen comrade's memory and his surviving family members as we discuss and publish this tragic event.  Lean on one another and remember that your fellow Airmen, First Sergeants, Chaplains and the Airman & Family Readiness Center are available as we mourn the loss of one of our own.

Thank you for all that you do for our Air Force and your country. Please look after one another and make wise decisions on and off-duty.

I have provided you with links and phone numbers to additional resources if you would like to utilize them. Do not hesitate to take advantage of them and again please look out for one another.
