NIAGARA FALLS AIR RESERVE STATION, N.Y. --

Members of the 914th Air Refueling Wing Fire Department conducted a mutual aid exercise with the Bergholz Volunteer Fire Company at the aircraft fire training facility here June 27, 2019.

Exercises such as these are held to ensure there is an understanding of roles and responsibilities in the event there is ever a call made for mutual aid assistance both off and on-base.  Mutual aid agreements between the air base and local municipalities offers both the Air Force and the local community enhanced readiness, an extra layer of resiliency, and a reformed way of doing business should the need for assistance arise.
