NIAGARA FALLS AIR RESERVE STATION, N.Y. -- Tech. Sgt. Vincent Gustafson, a pavements and equipment operator for the 914th Civil Engineering Squadron gets a reassuring hug from his wife and daughter that it's good to be home. Gustafson was among 17 Air Force Reservists who recently arrived home from Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan. These reservists were deployed for approximately six months. In honor of Women's History Month Capt. Nikki Slaughter-Smith, 328th Combat and Operational Stress Control, Army Reserve, was recognized along with several other prominent women during a special ceremony at the Buffalo N.Y. Veterans Court March 28, 2017.
