How to Access the Base

  • You must present a current or expired military or retired ID.
  • If you do not have a military ID, you will need:
    • A 100% Disabled American Veteran letter
    • Your DD 214
    • A current driver’s license

Lost CAC Cards

If your CAC is lost, stolen, or destroyed, you must obtain a Lost ID Card Form from the Visitors Center.

ID Cards for Full-Time Students

  • Dependents aged 21–23 who are full-time college students are eligible for ID cards.
  • Requirements:
    • Sponsor must be present.
    • A letter from the registrar’s office with the expected graduation date.

Valid IDs

  • Customers over 18 must present two valid forms of ID to obtain a new ID card.

Sponsor Attendance

Sponsors must be present in person when dependents are obtaining a new ID card.

PIN Resets

Military personnel needing a PIN reset or with an unserviceable CAC will be prioritized before the next appointment to minimize disruption to their work schedule.

100% Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Requirements

To obtain base access, 100% DAVs must present:

  1. Veteran’s Eligibility Letter from the VA showing 100% service-connected disability and unemployable status.
  2. One valid, unexpired photo ID.
  3. DD Form 214 (Copy 4) verifying honorable discharge.
  4. Birth Certificate.
  5. Social Security Card.

Dependent ID Cards

To add a spouse to DEERS, bring the following original documents:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Driver’s License (or another photo ID)
  • Social Security Card
  • Marriage License

Newborn Enrollment

  • Effective May 9, 2024, a Hospital Proof of Birth Letter is no longer accepted for newborn enrollment.
  • Required documents:
    • Certificate of Live Birth or Birth Certificate.
    • Social Security Card (must be provided within 90 days of enrollment).
