Airman 1st Class John Schmidt stands outside the Alamo after graduating Basic Training from Lackland Air Force Base, TX. While performing Charge of Quarters door guard duty on November 21, during technical training at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, The 914th AES Technician Student was approached by another Airman who claiming he had a grenade. Schmidt then took actions to impede the potential bomb threat.
