914 LRS hosts chili cook-off

NIAGARA FALLS AIR RESERVE STATION --  The 914th Logistics Readiness Squadron held their Third Annual Chili Cook-Off, during the February Unit Training Assembly.

Tech. Sgt Jacqueline McCoy and Mr. James Lemen, Staff Sgt Megan Long and Senior Airman Amanda Jones were in the running to claim the prized trophy that was won by Tech. Sgt. Russell Molnar last year during the competition.

With a statement of not being worried about losing the trophy as the tally was counted, Molnar won the award for the second year in a row.

Benchmarked from the 328th Airlift Squadron, 914 LRS personnel liked the idea of a hot bowl of chili on a cold February day. However, an additional aspect of the competition was to allow the LRS Airmen to get to know each other better, with the hope to become improved Wingmen.

The trophy is passed from the previous winning contestant to the next winning contestant.

Molnar, like past winners, will display the trophy in his work-section and bring it back to the chili cook-off next year.
