Sustainment flight finds new home

NIAGARA FALLS AIR RESERVE STATION, N.Y. --  Members of the 914th Force Support Squadron Services Sustainment Flight have begun moving into the newly remodeled building 314 here. For many years this building served as the officer and enlisted club and will now serve as office and training space.

According to 914 FSS commander, Maj. Ken Enser, several organizations will share space in the former Falcon Club including Base Honor Guard, Sustainment Flight, Civil Air Patrol, and a portion of the FSS leadership.

The Services Sustainment Flight had been temporarily housed in building 702 after moving out of the former base dining facility, building 506, which was then demolished almost two years ago.

According to Senior Master Sgt. Michael Roach, 914 FSS Sustainment Flight Air Reserve Technician, furniture and materials have been reused in the moves to their final destination requiring a lot of hard work and creative thinking.

"I've been in the Air Force for 29 years and all over the world, but this has been the longest "deployment" I've been on," joked Roach.  "This move has taken 1 and 1/2 years and all I did was go across the street."
