New over watch for main gate

NIAGARA FALLS AIR RESERVE STATION, NY -- The new 914th Airlift Wing security forces over watch booth arrived recently and was put into place near the main gate.

This new hardened facility replaces a guard booth which did not allow security forces a clear view of the main gate vehicle check.

The new state of the art over watch has protective measures built into the booth to protect the guard on duty against hostile action, a higher vantage point and allows the individual to assist in deterring any unauthorized entry.

This building manufactured in central New York is part of the overall upgrades that are being implemented to the main gate. All construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of March.
