Congresswoman visits Niagara

New York State Congresswoman Kathy Hochul  visited to the the men and women of the 914th and 107th Airlift  Wings here, at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station October 20.

During a tour of the base, the Congresswoman  viewed military constuction projects such as the indoor small arms range which is slated to continue efforts to provide for military, federal and local government agencies the opportunity to weapons qualify their members in a state-of-the-art training environment year-round, saving thousands of dollars in range fees and manpower requirements.

She also viewed the new Community Activity Center built to feed 800 troops in a two-hour time frame or seat 700 guests for a fine dining event. Named "The Heritage Center at Niagara" the new facily will also give base leadership opportunities to have commander's calls, promotions, retirements, staff meetings and much more in one location. 

In addition to viewing the base facilities, Congresswoman Hochul spoke with installation leaders about diffrent aspects of base life and was  briefed on the status of the assocation between the 914th and 107th Airlift Wings.
