A 914th Logistics Readiness Squadron Airman, currently deployed to southwest Asia, earned the 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing's Tuskegee Airman of the Month.

Senior Airman Amanda M. Webster, a Fuels Distribution Vehicle and Equipment Operator, was selected for the award from 1,000 other deserving Airmen at Joint Base Balad in Iraq.

According to the 332nd Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron Commander Lt. Col. Danny P. Johnson, Airman Webster is a solid performer because of everything she does in the area of operation.
"Her nomination was the direct result of her performance," said Lieutenant Colonel Johnson. "We are fortunate enough to have her on 'our ELRS family' team. This award was well deserved."

Since she arrived in southwest Asia, Airman Webster has expedited more than 640,000 gallons of fuel to a multitude of critical aerial platforms including Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Combat Search and Rescue aircraft, special operations helicopters and other aircraft needed to sustain combat operations in the AOR.

When she is not fueling the fight, Airman Webster is a member of her squadron's booster club. She planned and executed a joint ELRS and United Service Organization ruck march which greatly benefited her squadron and the USO.

She also was an Iraqi Kids Day volunteer and devoted eight hours to 120 children as a mentor which directly resulted in additional cultivation of foreign relations and created a positive Air Force image in the eyes of Iraqi children.

Lt. Col. Johnson stated that Airman Webster is education-minded; she finished courses with a 3.0 grade point average and earned 3 credit hours towards a Community College of the Air Force degree in Logistics Management.

From my perspective, this is an outstanding achievement," said Capt. Gina Pizzicconi-Cupples, 914th LRS commander. "We are very proud to hear she is thriving in the deployed environment and received such an award. Chief Sharbutt, Chief Enlisted Manager of the 332nd ELRS, referred to Airman Webster as a 'Superstar.' Simply put, this accomplishment energizes the 914 LRS team to see one of our members so highly recognized."
