Marine General guest speaker at luncheon

BUFFALO, N.Y.- --  It was the Marine Corps turn this year to host the 51st annual Greater Western New York Armed Forces Week Luncheon and no one was disappointed when guest speaker Brigadier General Steven W. Busby, deputy director for force management, application and support, joint staff, J-8 spoke about current events including the death of Bin Laden, the U.S. Marine Corps and the military.

The annual event draws many military, U.S. and Canadian veteran, law enforcement and civic leaders.  This year was no exception.  The luncheon is held annual at the Connecticut Street Armory in Buffalo and is part of celebrations held all week in Western New York, honoring the military in this area.

Other events included opening ceremonies held earlier in the week and a military ball scheduled for the end of the week.

Next year's host will be the Air Force.
