Somber return of a fallen soldier

Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, N.Y. --  Members of the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Wings pay respects to Army Staff Sgt. Michael Lammert 1st Battalion, 84th Field Artillery Regiment, 170th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. Sgt. Lammert was a Tonawanda native, husband and father of two young children gave his life defending his country during his third tour of duty.

Members of the Patriot Guard Riders a diverse amalgamation of motorcycle riders and local law enforcement lead the funeral procession from the flight line as members of the 914th and 107th stood at attention along the street to pay their respects to a fallen patriot. Sgt. Lammert will be laid to rest at Elm Lawn Cemetery on Delaware Avenue and Delaware Road.
