Scholarships for Reserve dependents

Why is it important to set goals?

The Niagara Chief's Group and Air Force Sergeants Association are awarding one $1000.00 and one $500.00 Scholarship to two individuals that submit a 500 word essay on the topic; "Since 9/11, what impact has Global War On Terrorism had on your future goals in life?"

These scholarships are open to the children of 914th members under the age of 21 (23 if enrolled in school) that are enrolled or plan on enrolling full time in an accredited college or university for the 2011-2012 school year. This essay should be single - spaced with double spacing between paragraphs and must not be more than 500 words excluding the heading. Essays over 500 words excluding the title will be disqualified.

Applicants should attach a separate sheet with the essay that includes the applicant's name, address, and phone number, student status, name of the college or university, and the level of the degree (Associate, Bachelors) being pursued by the individual. The applicant and the 914th member's sponsor signature should be included at the bottom of the sheet.

Essays need to be submitted to Family Support by COB 03 April 2011 and the scholarship winners will be announced at the Chief's BBQ event during the June UTA.
