NIAGARA FALLS AIR RESERVE STATION, N.Y. -- Jeffery Caruana was given the oath of enlistment by his older brother, retired U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Anthony Caruana here, at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station.

The younger, Caruana is slated to become a firefighter at the NFARS Fire Department after he served in the U.S. Army as a drill sergeant.

His older brother, Anthony, the current Town of Tonawanda supervisor and former commander of 98th Division, retired from the Army after 33 years of service.
