Military appreciation night at the ball park

914th Airlift Wing Public Affairs

Niagara Falls Air reserve Station -- The evening was cool and blustery with the smell of crackerjacks hanging heavy in the air as Military Bisons fans huddled together during a free baseball game in honor of Armed Force Week. Members of the U.S. military were treated to a free Buffalo Bisons game at Coca Cola Park courtesy of Northrop Grummam who purchased a thousand tickets to be given to military members and their families. Throwing out the first pitches were commanders from all five branches of the military. Representing the U.S. Air Force on the pitcher's mound was Col. Timothy J. McCoy of the 914th Airlift Wing.
Not wanting to disappoint their fans the Bisons showed a flare for the dramatic for the second time in three nights with a 5-4 walk-off victory over the Louisville Bats.
