Two selected from Niagara for flight training

NIAGARA FALLS AIR RESERVE STATION, N.Y. --  It is my privilege to announce the results of the recent HQ Air Force Reserve Command Officer Training School/Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training selection board.

Please join me in congratulating Senior Airman Liaquat Ali and Mr. Daniel Herr in their selection for commissioning and aviation service in the 914 AW.  They will both report to Officer Training School in early January 2010.

There will be more opportunities for those who qualify.  The common factor in all 40 AFRC selectees is that they were ready when the opportunity arose.  They completed all required educational and physical requirements, obtained basic aviation experience and put together timely, winning selection packages.

The next selection board will be held in March 2010.  Packages are due to HQ AFRC by February 26, 2010.  Please refer to AFI 36-2205 and ARCI 36-2602 for eligibility criteria.  Applicants must also obtain unit sponsorship to be eligible for this board.  328th Airlift Squadron point of contact is Chief Pilot Lt. Col. George "Buff" Hoffman.
