A new training agreement between the The 914th Aeromedical Staging Squadron, U.S. Air Force Reserve and Sisters of Charity Hospital, Buffalo, NY was announced Tuesday, April 29.  Sisters Hospital, a member of the Catholic Health System hosts the reservists a minimum of one weekend a month during the unit training assembly for their competence training.

"The members receive a lot of hands-on training," said Dave DeLorenzo, Human Resources Director of Sisters Hospital. "They train on equipment they usually don't spend a lot of time on," he added.

"The reservists said they needed to ramp up their critical care unit after their deployment to Iraq, and Sisters Hospital gives them that training," said DeLorenzo.

"It's a win-win situation," added DeLorenzo. "The Reservists and the hospital personnel learn a lot from each other. I find the 914th reservists highly qualified and skilled. It's beneficial for the reservists and hospital because Sisters loves to teach and we are teaching and training men and women to hone wartime medical skills that will help other troops in battle."
