NIAGARA FALLS AIR RESERVE STATION, N.Y. --  MSgt. Kenneth Dawley, Crew Chief, 914 AMXS (Aircraft Maintenance Squadron)

What does your position entail?
I'm in charge of maintaining the C-130 aircraft. All inspections, fueling, refueling, documentation, maintenance. Basically, making sure it's air worthy.

How long have you been in the Air Force?
I've been in for 20 years. I was in the Navy for nine months, got out and enlisted as a reservist here 10 years later.

Why did you decide to join the Air Force?
I wanted to travel. I've been to Greenland, Panama, Colombia, Scotland, England and Germany.

Have you been deployed?
I've been deployed 5 times

What do you enjoy about your job?
The travel, meeting new people, the challenges of trying to fix the planes.

What are your hobbies/interests?
Hunting, marathon running, shooting sports, motorcycle riding

What are your long term goals?
Ultimately retire, stay healthy, Right now I'm trying to run marathons in all 50 states. I've done 8 so far. I've also done the Air Force marathon 10 years in a row.
