Niagara Emergency Operations Center gets upgrades Published Oct. 29, 2015 By Peter Borys 914th Airlift Wing Public Affairs NIAGARA FALLS AIR RESERVE STATION, N.Y. -- When it comes to emergencies; quick response and the flow of information is of the upmost importance. The Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station Emergency Operations Center (EOC) recently received upgrades to their command center to ensure both priorities. Todd Keffer, Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station Installation Emergency Manager said, the new upgrades allow the EOC team to display multiple information sources quickly in a variety of ways whereas before their information sources were limited. The EOC supports the incident commander during any on or off base emergency providing resources. It also provides the crisis action team with critical information. Depending on the emergency various outside federal, state or local agencies would become participants in the EOC. "We have a very strong working relationship with all of our Western New York civilian agency counterparts and this is extremely important during a time of crisis," said Keffer.
