October Spotlight Performer

The 914th Airlift Wing Spotlight Performer for October 2015 is Staff Sgt. Jason Pietsch, 328th Airlift Squadron, Airborne Flight equipment.

What does your job entail?
In charge of all aircrew gear--parachutes, survival kits, emergency oxygen, helmets and even weapons when we are overseas.

How long have you been part of the Air Force Reserve?
3 years.

Have you served anywhere else?
I was in the U.S. Army for 11 years with 3 spent as Active Duty at Fort Hood in Texas.

What motivated you to join the Air Force?
I wanted to do something different.

What do you like/find rewarding about your job?
I like learning about the equipment. We play an important role in the mission.
What are your Air Force goals?
I'm focused on an upcoming deployment. Additionally, I'm always thinking about my career path and eventually, retirement.

What are your hobbies?
I enjoy sports.

Staff Sgt. Pietsch works for the Department of Veterans Affairs in the Education department and helps people with their GI Bill.
