Meet Senior Airman Joy Neuenschwander, 914th Operation Support Squadron, the January 2015 Spotlight Performer.

Joy hails from Lancaster, PA and is assigned to the 914 OSS as an Aircrew Flight Equipment Technician.

Her duties include maintaining and inspecting all survival equipment, to include helmets, oxygen masks, parachutes, life rafts, harnesses, etc., all things that are an Airman's best friend in the event of an emergency.

Joy states that while she's performing her duties on base, high stakes motivate her to keep high standards.

In civilian life, she is a nursing student at the University at Buffalo with career ambitions in flight nursing.

"I'd like to get a Flight Nurse position and get my commission.  My dream is to be a Flight Nurse as a civilian and in the military," said Neuenschwander.

When asked about what she loves most about being in the Air Force this young Airman emphatically states - it's the great people that she works with!
