914th Maintenance Squadron welcomes commander

NIAGARA FALLS AIR RESERVE STATION, N.Y. --  Maj. Lori Mann assumed command of the 914th Maintenance Squadron November 1, 2014 at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, N.Y. 

Here, Mann is the commander of more than 200 of Airmen who maintain eight of C-130 aircraft.

The 914th Maintenance Squadron's mission statement is to maintain assigned aircraft equipment in serviceable, safe, and properly configured condition to meet all requirements for tactical airlift missions.  To train and manage personnel to perform assigned duties when tasked, mobilize and deploy.  Perform maintenance on assigned and transient aircraft systems and components beyond the capability of other locally assigned maintenance activities.

Prior to taking command of the 914th MXS, Mann was the commander of the 919th Maintenance Squadron, part of the 919th Special Operations Wing at Duke Field, Fla.
