Attention Niagara Airmen!

NIAGARA FALLS AIR RESERVE STATION, N.Y. --  The Air Force Reserve Recruiting Program "Get1Now" is looking for you to refer capable and hard-working individuals to serve in the Air Force Reserve. In essence, you can be the recruiter.

"No one knows the unique skill set required of today's Airman to perform the mission, better than you," said 914th Airlift Wing Command Chief Master. Sgt. Scott Goetze. " How many times while talking to someone at a sports game, school assembly or a civic meeting when you've thought to yourself, 'Wow, that young man or woman has their act together'--That's the kind of individual we want in the Air Force Reserve."

"Here's your opportunity to make a difference," said Goetze.

The program is called "Get One- Now" and provides benefits to the Air Force Reserve Command, the individual being referred, and the person who has served as an honorary recruiter.

The premise behind the Get1Now program is to incentivize reservists by recommending qualified people to serve in the Air Force Reserve, said Goetze.

According to the Air Force Reserve Recruiting Service, statistics indicate that basic-trainee candidates who were recommended by current Airmen have a much greater chance of marching in a graduation parade at Lackland AFB than those who walk off the street into a recruiting office.


"I need your help to find talented men and women who wish to serve in our Air Force Reserve," said AFRC Commander Lt. Gen. James Jackson. "Your referral can be a friend, relative, co-worker or even a neighbor. Additionally, if your submission leads to an accession, then you can receive an incentive award."


The member gains points for every person they refer who joins the Reserve. With the right number of points a reservist can receive awards like a portable DVD player for one new accession to a laptop for seven or more new accessions, said Goetze. "Seize the opportunity!"
