Veterans visit WNY Elementary School

Hoover Elementary School in Tonawanda N.Y. invited veterans from all services to celebrate Veterans Day on November 8, 2018. Hoover faculty provided snacks and a special presentation for each veteran. They invited each veteran to read a selected book to each class. the 914th Air Refueling Wing Fire Department provided a special demonstration on fire safety.

NIAGARA FALLS AIR RESERVE STATION, N.Y. -- Hoover Elementary School in Tonawanda N.Y. invited local veterans and emergency responders to participate in a Read with a Hero/Veterans Day celebration. Hoover faculty and students provided a special school assembly in honor of Veterans Day and they invited each veteran and emergency responder to either read a selected book to each class, conduct a presentation or just speak on their experiences. The 914th Air Refueling Wing Fire Emergency Services provided a special demonstration on fire safety.
