Flyover Request

How to Request Flyover Support

The 914th Air Refueling Wing at Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station provides flyover support for approved requests expressly authorized by the U.S. Air Force Aerial Events team. The 914 ARW will not, under any circumstances, coordinate a flyover support request before authorization is granted from U.S. Aerial Events. Individuals who wish to make an official flyover support request must visit the U.S. Air Force Aerial Events website to coordinate support for their event.

Flyover requests for civilian events will be limited to one of the five patriotic holidays traditionally supported by the service.

  • Veteran’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • POW/MIA Day
  • Armed Forces Day

They also approve airshows and other aviation themed events. In addition, national-level sporting events and air shows will also be considered for eligibility. Please note that fundraising events and most high school and youth sporting events will not be eligible for aerial support. All flyover requests must meet criteria outlined in Air Force Instruction 35-101 and must be accomplished before civil twilight without exception.

Please utilize the U.S. Aerial Events request page to make a new request, monitor existing requests, and to contact supporting units, including the 914 ARW, once you have been approved to proceed.
