Niagara says "good-bye" to an old friend

NIAGARA FALLS AIR RESERVE STATION, N.Y. - The last of Niagara's C-130 H3 model aircraft departs Niagara Falls for the final time July 11. As part of the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) commission, the 914th Airlift Wing exchanged its eight C-130H3 aircraft for 12 C-130 H2 models. In addition, the 107th Airlift Wing of the New York Air National Guard has formed an association with the Air Force Reserve at Niagara. In an associate base, units will share people, resources and equipment to accomplish their flying mission. (U.S. Air Force photo / Mr. Michael Harvey)
