RETIREE ACTIVITIES OFFICE

The Retiree Activities Office (RAO) and its volunteers on base are here to serve you and your needs to the best of our ability. We are here to provide information, services, and programs to military retirees of all ranks and services. If we do not have the answers readily available, we will search until we find them. Our location is in Bldg. 314.

The RAO mission is to act as an interface between the active duty and retired communities, to keep you updated on matters which relate to your status as a military retiree, to provide information and services as necessary or appropriate, and to represent retired members at the base and Air Force level. The RAO also provides whatever assistance is requested by the Installation Commander in achieving the base mission.

The RAO serves as a contact for direct service with such offices and services as the Air Force Finance Center, Pass & ID, Military Personnel Flight, Personal Affairs, Staff Judge Advocate, Casualty Assistance and Base Operations. We also maintain information on Space-A-Travel, TRICARE, TRICARE FOR LIFE, Veterans Affairs, Social Security Information, Medicare, Health Insurance Supplements, Spouse/Widow Benefits and Entitlement, Reserve Forces, and Air National Guard.

The Retiree Activities Office at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station (NFARS) publishes a quarterly newsletter for all US Air Force military retirees and other services residing in the Greater Western New York area. This includes the counties of Allegheny, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Chemung, Erie, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara, Ontario, Orleans, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates.

Consider keeping your copies of our newsletter as they can prove to be important references in the future. We suggest both husband and wife read our newsletter. Articles therein could affect her.
