The Northeast Council of Airshows (NECAS) held their annual conference here January 26-28.

The event was hosted by the 914th Air Refueling Wing and the 2018 Thunder of Niagara Air Show and brought together airshow industry leaders and performers from across the nation.

"This conference allows us to learn from each other as we all strive to produce top-notch events," said Maj. Ben Canetti, Director of the 2018 Thunder of Niagara Airshow. "There's a tremendous amount of logistics and behind the scenes work that goes into producing an airshow and a conference like this is critical in ensuring a smoothly run air show."

Making it an international event, the Canadian Forces Snowbird team flew in one of their jets for a site survey prior to Niagara's June air show and to participate in the conference.

"It's fantastic that the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station is able to host NECAS," said Bill Wagner, Vice Chairman of the Niagara Military Affairs Council. "As we ramp up preparations for the 2018 Thunder of Niagara Airshow participating in an event like this helps ensure a wonderful airshow experience."

NFARS is hosting the 2018 Thunder of Niagara International Air Show that will feature the Canadian Forces Snow Birds, F-22 Demo Team and United States Air Force Thunderbirds on June 9-10.
