The 914th Logistics Readiness Squadron Quality Assurance office was recently recognized for their hard work and dedication to the mission. The 16 Quality Assurance evaluators belonging to the LRS QA office have received the LRS Quality Assurance Award for the Air Force Reserve Command. The award is presented to the office that exemplifies the Air Force core values while carrying out all aspects of their tasks with efficiency and excellence.

Maj. Peter Springirth, 914 LRS commander, commented on the success of the QA office by emphasizing their importance to the mission.

“They essentially ensure our processes are accomplished according to Air Force and Department of Defense standards as well as validate that our team members are technically competent and safely performing logistics operations,” said Springirth. “The trained evaluators promote a culture of continuous process improvement, professional excellence and accountability, ultimately ensuring our logistics professionals are ready to ‘Fly, Fight and Win, Tonight’.”

The LRS QA office is tasked with overseeing and ensuring execution of the LRS key task list, routine inspection list, and career field education and training plan requirements on a monthly, quarterly, and an annual basis. Their goal is to maximize readiness by identifying and addressing areas of noncompliance while instilling professionalism and personal accountability.

In calendar year 2017, the LRS Quality Assurance professionals conducted 174 performance evaluations, two quality verification inspections, 14 special inspections and eight training proficiency examinations, all of which aided in identifying trends and addressing issues to ensure mission readiness, efficiency and precision.

Congratulations to the LRS Quality Assurance office on a job well done!
