NIAGARA FALLS AIR RESERVE STATION, N.Y. -- The retirement of Niagara Falls 328th Air Refueling Squadron's Lt. Col. Bill Schunk marks a passing of the torch to his son, Senior Airman Bill Schunk who is a Boom Operator with the 328th ARS. Both men followed in the footsteps of Lt. Col. William Leon Schunk who retired from the unit in the 80s. For over six decades there has been a Schunk family member flying with the 328th and for the first time ever and the last time in uniform Lt. Col Schunk got the chance to fly with his son.
