Congratulations to the following 914th Airlift Wing members for being recognized as Federal Employees of the Year 2014 by the Buffalo Federal Executive Board, during a ceremony held at the Buffalo Convention Center, May 6.

Distinguished Government Service Awardees:

Maj. Eric Schwinge, 914th Airlift Wing, is recognized for his efforts in providing health protection for over 2000 full and part time employees serving as Supervisory Industrial Hygienist.

Colonel James DiFrancesco, 914th Airlift Wing, is recognized for exceptional leadership qualities making him a driving force in operations, training, deployments and readiness.

Excellence in Workforce Development Awardees:

Senior Master Sgt. Robert Ornat, 914th Airlift Wing, is recognized for developing a transformation initiative that improves effectiveness and efficiency in the area of maintenance logistics.

Master Sgt. Sara Kern, 914th Airlift Wing, is recognized for her efforts to ensure all members of the maintenance team are current and qualified in training requirements.

Outstanding Supervisor Award:

Senior Master Sgt.  Michael Haag, 914th Airlift Wing, is recognized for leading a team of 8 individuals who manage a wide range of operational programs for the Civil Engineering Squadron.
